Collaborating with Constituencies and County Governments to Enhance Rural Electrification

Access to electricity in rural areas will be enhanced following the decision by REA to adopt a participatory planning and action approach to rural electrification.


REA hosts Malian Rural Electrification Agency on benchmarking tour

The Malian Government is keen on implementing electrification projects similar to those put in place by REA in order to promote sustainable socio-economic development of rural communities in the West African country.


The 55 MW Garissa Solar Power Plant

East and Central Africas’ largest solar power plant is taking shape and will soon be feeding 54.64 Mega Watts (MW) of electricity into the national grid. 


Partnership with Kakamega County

The C.E.O Mr. Peter Mbugua recently hosted H.E Wycliffe Oparanya Governor Kakamega County at REA Headquaters to sign an MOU to actualize electricity connectivity in Kakamega under the matching fund facility.
