REA team led by General Manager, Technical Services Eng. Esther Ruto briefed the Governor of Kakamega County H.E Wycliffe Oparanya and his Chief Advisor Andrew Tobaso on progress made in implementing rural electrification projects in Kakamega County. The County has partnered with REA in a participatory planning and action approach to rural electrification.
Under this innovative approach, REA will partner with the County Government to enhance electrification . REA is undertaking these projects in partnership with the county on a 50:50 funding basis. H.E Oparanya says Kakamega County intends to achieve 100% electrification by the year 2022.
